    #8 Monopoly

For those of you who don't know, I have been spending all my time trying to take the top ten games throughout history and implement them into the world of sports.  I believe that sports venues often forget how important the entertainment is to the fans. Try looking at the entertainment inside a venue as a product. First we need to focus on clarifying the scope for the product. After scope clarification, we decide on the scale of the product and who the audience will be. Later, we decide on implementation and if will it fit into our budget.

So without further adieu, let me introduce #8, MonopolyMonopoly is a board game that allows players to mimic the many scenarios in business. First, how do we acquire monopoly dollars? Simple, the monopoly dollars are acquired when you purchase a ticket to the home game. Each section in the stadium is a representation of a property on the monopoly board game. You can use your monopoly dollars from the ticket to purchase other properties inside the venue.

How do I move spaces? In order to move spaces, you select three players. The total bases between each player represent the total number of spaces you move that inning. After calculating the total bases, you move forward to the designated property. Each property is allowed a certain amount of owners. If the owner cap has not been fulfilled, you are allowed to purchase that property with your monopoly dollars and split the profits between the co-owners. At the end of the game, you total your points and use them to purchase team prizes, discounts, or save them for the next home game.

Monopoly in baseball could be a very exciting game to make you pay attention to the game of baseball. Monopoly allows you to follow the players closely, keep in touch with the team, and win some awesome prizes while doing so. In order to fall within the budget try acquiring business that would sponsor your game. I’ve listed a few potential sponsors below.

-Banks (Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America)
    -Dicks Sporting Goods
    -Soft Drinks (Coca Cola, Pepsi)
