In my previous entry I stated that I would be taking the top 10 family
games we grew up with and applying them to sports entertainment. I am still
working on that project, but I stumbled across something on TED that was very interesting. Many
of you may have seen this, but Sebastian Thrun has created a driverless
car. He mentioned at a young age his best friend was killed instantly in a
car accident. This is what drove Sebastian to push himself to be successful
with his driverless car. The technology is very inspiring and of course we can
receive numerous messages from his success, but Sebastian has reiterated the
meaning of the phrase “No Holding Back”. The driverless car is a robotic
machine that is programmed to what it’s told. We are human beings that can do
what ever we please. The sky is the limit, so why are we living our lives as if
someone programmed us to do so.
So essentially, I want you to ask yourself what is holding you back?
What is keeping you from greatness? An unfortunate accident in Sebastian
Thrun’s life has allowed him to create a machine that will eventually save
lives. In a very quick conclusion, I want everyone to know that the only thing
that is holding you back is yourself. Put yourself out there more, see what
happens, and maybe you will create a driverless car.
