Fanteraction
Today's word of the day is Fanteraction. Fanteraction is a portmanteau of fan and interaction. Genius is it not ? People visit sports venues for the unique atmosphere. We watch our favorite super stars battle it out on the turf while we stuff our faces with hot dogs and beer. We vicariously live through these super humans by engaging ourselves in fantasy sports, video games, and intramural sports. Of course most of us have no athletic talent, but we still like to compete right? Imagine you are relaxing in your stadium seat and your name is called. You come down to play a game of Deal or no Deal. The crowd is cheering and for once you are the center of attention and your favorite stars are now watching you on the jumbo tron.
I've been thinking of a ways to enhance our in game experience. Of course we have in game entertainment from huge corporations like Sony, AT&T, and McDonalds, but let's get creative. What about monopoly, catchphrase, or categories. How about we throw in all the classic games we played as a child into the world of sports. One of my biggest dreams is to be on stage of Price is Right. I say we scale down Price is Right and have it sponsored by Target or Publix. Let's put on our thinking caps on and come up with some new ideas to get fans involved.
Over the next couple of weeks I will try to implement the top games of all time into sports entertainment. We are going to take Fanteraction to a whole new level. I will also try my best to strategically choose the best companies to sponsor these in game competitions. So sit tight and relax because this post is just a warm up.
